寧心好睡湯水
相信近來不少人都睡得不好,然而睡眠質素對身體的影響甚大。當睡眠不足又或是質素欠佳時,肝膽的負擔會增加,有可能令人出現肝鬱氣滯的情況,也會無精打采。所以說,要走更長的路,也要照顧好自己的身體,才可照料身邊重要的人!趁著星期五煲一個寧心安神的湯水,全家人一齊飲用,飯後看一套輕鬆的電影笑一笑,今晚就齊齊放下電話、電腦,11點乖乖早點上床睡覺吧!

夏日清心火湯水小貼士:
適當添加蓮子並保留蓮芯。蓮芯有清心火的功效,適合在夏日用作寧心。

佛手瓜粟米蓮藕素湯
材料:佛手瓜2個、粟米1根、蓮藕2節、新鮮百合1個、新鮮蓮子(連芯)80克、新鮮白果1包、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1/所有材料洗淨,蓮藕去皮切片、粟米去衣留鬚切段備用。
2/鍋中加入約2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮約1小時,最後下鹽調味即成。
功效:寧心安神,健脾養肝。紓緩思慮過度及因壓力大處於繃緊狀態而難以入睡的情況。身體有偏熱症狀及感冒未清者不宜飲用。

When you do not sleep enough or have poor sleep quality, it can lead to liver depression and qi stagnation due to increased burden on the liver and gallbladder. Tips for soup to clear heart fire during summer:
Appropriately add lotus seeds and keep the seeds inside. Lotus seeds can clear heart fire and are suitable for calming the mind during summer.

Lotus root soup with chayote and corn
Ingredients: 2 chayotes, 1 corn, 2 segment of lotus root, 1 fresh lily bulb, 80g fresh lotus seeds, 1 pack of ginkgo nuts, 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel lotus root and cut into pieces. Peel corn, keep silk and cut into pieces. 
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste. 
Effects: calms the heart and mind, strengthens spleen and nourishes liver. Suitable for excessive thinking and difficulty of falling asleep due to tension and pressure. Those with heat-related symptoms or recovering from a cold/flu should not drink this soup.
